LEF 2010 will come sooner as you might think!
We have more than 200 participants – but there is still place!
LEOs and LIONS from Austria, Hungary (Surprise, Surprise!), the United States, Switzerland, France, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Holland, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Turkey, Estonia, Poland, Russia, Romania, Slovenia and Egypt will join this LEF, at the moment 19 delegations.
And we still have space in Hotel Fagus – the regular registration period is over but even the participance fee for the late-deciders is every cent worth!!! We as the Austrian and Hungarian LEF 2010 orga team will show you the most beautiful and interesting places in the area of Sopron, including the LEF pre-program. We visit both capitals Budapest and Vienna and you will se places a normal tourist would never find.
We learnt from the best – the orga teams of the previous LEFs and so both the cultural, fun and LEO activities are organized the best possible way to guarantee an unforgettable LEF. A big part of great LEF organisation does the area around Sopron itself. The city is placed in a wine region, Lake Neusiedl is only a few kilometres far from Hotel Fagus and the city itself is unique for its beauty, history and its students´ pubs :)
This 35th LEF EUROPA FORUM will be different – not only because of a bi-national organisation, also because of the mail goals of LEF2010: back to the roots of LEOnism, making a perfect program inspired by 34 LEFs before, a lot of creativity and also a little bit of crazyness.
So – to all our LEO friends who already registered: get prepared for one of the best weeks in your LEO life! For all of you who did not register yet: HURRY UP! Keep the LEO spirit alive until the Forum!

The Red and the Green Guys!
Once again: LEF 2010 program but with new details
Saturday: Meet new friends and keep the old. What else can we say.
Sunday: Let the games begin! After the unofficial introductions the evening before the time has come for the official one. And another unofficial again – this LEF the POC is fixed already on Sunday. But no worries, supermarkets are opened in Hungary.
Monday: Happy birthday united Europe, happy birthday LEF. A picnic at the location were the Iron Curtain was open for the first time in 1989, followed by the ultimate birthday party. The lucky birthday kid? LEF, in other words you, you and me!
Tuesday: Vienna – famous for Mozart, Sissi and Frosch. Take some pictures, spend some money, fasten seat belts and enjoy the trip. In the evening you can show that everybody con be a Red or Green Guy!
Wednesday: That´s the serious part of this LEF. Following the LEO spirit we give Transylvanian children in need a wonderful Christmas Eve. Maybe one of the biggest worldwide LEO activity realized by LEOs from all over the world. The evening stands for a classical charity concert deluxe, so enjoy it!
Thursday: Exploring the wild wild East. But back in time to get properly dressed for the Gala Evening. On this LEF this evening highlight is already celebrated on Thursday – so no departure stress next morning. And no dancing with tears in your eyes. Yet.
Friday: It will be the relaxing day after a long week full of sightseeing, workshops and party. Just keep some energy for the street soccer championship! The last day of LEF ends with the Closing Ceremony followed by the LEF Ending party. Share your last reserves because this evening will be looooooong!
Saturday: Departure. Met new friends and so the old. See you next year in Romania!
Still not mentioned and new highlights at LEF 2010
Football World Cup – at LEF you get another chance!
We have no idea yet who will win the World Cup in South Africa, but definitely not Austria or Hungary. Our boys had to stay at home. Our national teams are not the only ones, and quite a few teams had to fly back home already. But – let´s stop living in the past! On Friday the 27th August every participating delegation has another chance to play for victory. At the trip to Lake Neusiedl we are going to play our own street soccer World Championship, LEO style. Bring your tricots, shoes, flags and whatever you have to play for victory, or at least to support your delegation team. The timetable of the games will be fixed at LEF, but just get prepared for the sports highlight on the last official day of LEF 2010. And bring your own dresses!
Vienna Day without visiting Vienna? As you like!
The daytrip to Vienna on Tuesday the 24th August is the cultural highlight of LEF 2010. We offer 6 different trips from which you can choose one. And – in case that you know already everything about Vienna: for a group of max. 25 LEOs we offer a nature and wildness day in the forests around Sopron. Learn the basics how to survive in the wildness, make fire like 10.000 years ago, sleep in the forests under the stars and get usefull survival training by our wild boy Armin. Registration for this special workshop is on LEF at the LID, up to 25 LEOs can join the nature and wildness day. But – before you come back to join the regular program, please have a shower! You will need it!
LEF 2010 Charity Concert
The big social activity of the Forum will be on Wednesday 25th August. We support Transylvanian children in need by preparing Christmas presents for them. On Christmas Eve 2010 every child should have his or her perfect day by
getting one of them. But we do not only want to support the organisation that takes care of so many thousand kids with presents. In a former mine near Sopron we organize a charity concert. In these unique surroundings the Hungarian violinist Zoltán Mága will play Austrian and Hungarian classics. You might not know this artist, but he is one of the best violin players in the world. And even if you don´t like Mozart, Bach or Liszt, after this concert you will change your opinion, that´s for sure!!!
