PROGRAM PLAN OF LEF2010

We learnt from the best, meaning the last six LEFs, the former Orga Teams and former LEFs with a lot of LEF experience. The result is the following program, some program parts stay asusual, some parts are adapted, and some highlights are new. To give a short impression hereis the program of LEF 2010 in Sopron.

Saturday

The day of the official arrival. After welcoming and registration the ILOs and delegation leaders get introduced to the program of the following week. In the evening the participating LEOs can catch a first impression of Austria and Hungary, its culture, cuisine and mentality under the program of the country presentation of both nations.

Sunday

Sunday starts with the impressive Opening Ceremony as the official beginning of LEO EUROPA FORUM 2010. The following program focuses on the presentation of the participating countries, both concerning the LEO activities as the culinary highlights of every delegation.

Monday

In the morning the LEOs have the possibility to explore the city of Sopron. After sightseeing Monday´s motto is: Happy birthday united Europe, happy birthday LEF. A picnic at the location were the Iron Curtain was open for the first time in 1989, followed by the 35 years LEF birthday party.

Tuesday

The cultural highlight of this week is a whole day of sightseeing in the capital of Austria. Vienna offers a wide spectrum of cultural, historical and culinary uniquenesses, the LEF participants get presented one of the most beautiful sides of Austria.

Wednesday

This day is focussing on the basics of the international LEO movement, starting with workshops focussing LEO topics. The afternoon program is the practical part of the LEO day. Following the LEO spirit the LEF participants give Transylvanian children in need a wonderful Christmas Eve. Maybe one of the biggest worldwide LEO Activity realized by LEOs from all over the world. A charity concert for this social project in the cave theatre in Fértörákos is the perfect ending for this day.

Thursday

This day is provided to introduce the surroundings on Hungarian side both the landscape as the cultural beauties and places of interest. The gala evening is the glamorous highlight of this EUROPA FORUM. Besides LEF participants will also LIONS and LEF supporters participate this evening. The location is – as a LEF tradition – a secret until the gala is opened.

Friday

The last day of LEF is the active day, sports workshops are offered to the LEF participants in the surrounding area of Lake Neusiedl. The Closing Ceremony is the official ending of LEO EUROPA FORUM 2010 in Sopron. A LEF ending party will give a good opportunity to remember the impressions and happenings of the past week.
